Exposed Aggregate

We recently finished an exposed aggregate walkway and front entrance. The end result turned out beautifully! First we poured with a 3/8 rock size for a pebble finish when the job is done. We bull floated the slab and edged the sides making sure there was no ridges. Then we applied horizontal retarder, this causes the surface of the concrete not to harden. We waited the appropriate amount of time and then pressure washed the top off, "exposing" the rocks underneath. Washing to early causes blow outs, but wash it to late and the surface will not come off. It's all about timing. The next day we acid washed it to get rid any white splochy spots. Lastly we put in the control cuts and applied sealer to give it a shiny gloss look. The sealer really brings out the colour in the rocks! And there you have it. Another job done! Please call Harder Concrete today for a free quote! 250.517.9084

Up and Running

Harder Concrete has officially started! Our first job is complete and the business is off the ground. Our first job was a polished basement floor in the community of Salmon Arm. We managed to get all the tools ordered in on time and everything went smoothly. The key to a beautiful floor is your edges. Putting the effort in to do them by hand just one more time is always worth it. Please call if you (or anyone you know) is in need of concrete services and we would be glad to help! 250-517-9084.

Making A Name For Myself

Before I even considered what the name of my company was going to be, I thought through WHO I wanted to be as a Company. I determined that my goal was to do work that I enjoy and that I am proud to put my name on! That is when the perfect name came to me. "Harder Concrete" is not intended to be a silly pun, but rather, it is MY name. It is WHO I am! When I finish a job, I leave my name behind with it. It is who I am in my ability to work with concrete. In saying that, every bit of work I do, I strive to do it with excellence. I do this because it is my name that is left behind when the job is done. So now, I am ready to get to work and make a name for myself! The truck is wrapped, the crew is ready and we are able to hit the streets with confidence in our quality, professional concrete work!
